It was drizzling. Both the rain and sun together made the rainbow appear.
Sidda squatted in his dry field, looking up at the sky.
“Stop dad, stop!”
Gautam stopped the car. Rishi dashed out of the car, looking at the rainbow in fascination.
“Dad, take a picture of me with the rainbow! Cut the farmer out of the frame”
The magnificent rainbow did not capture Sidda’s attention. He was looking for a downpour.
The dry field did not stir Gautam and Rishi. They took their picture, got into the car and drove off.

Very nice indeed! Loved the way you depicted the fact that what one is attracted to need not be noticed by another.

A little bit of rain will do nothing for the farmer’s crop. Nice contrast.

Thats true. The plight of farmers dependent on rains is very sad

The dry field really needed a downpour and the kids just wanted to get a picture of the rainbow. Great story!

So true, when it is a question of livelihood, these objects of beauty have no value. As they say in Hindi= Bhookhe bhajan na hoye Gopala. You’ll obviously understand, but for the benefit of everyone else, it’s an old saying which. loosely translated, means- You cannot pray when your stomach is empty!
