Krish, Deepa and Leela were running flat out, getting out of breath every second.

“I can’t run anymore” said Leela flopping down in the grass. Deepa too sat beside her, gasping.

“The dog is no longer behind us” panted Krish.

The children were playing when the grouchy neighbour’s equally grouchy dog set off behind them.

“Oh! no! the dog fell into the ditch!” cried Deepa.

“Let it be! Horrible thing” said Leela.

“We can’t do that, it will drown!” Krish running back to the bridge.

He bent over and pulled the dog to safety with his cricket bat.

In the dog’s eyes Krish was a super hero now.
