“Hello?” I said. I was very busy. I had no time for phone calls.

“Hello,” said the voice on the phone. “My name is Gary Mehigan. I know you never expected a call from me, as famous as I am, but I’ve been given your name as someone who can help me.”

“Gary? Gary Mehigan?”

“Well, yeah. Gary… you know from the show Masterchef Australia?”

“Of course I know you! I am a huge fan!” I was too thrilled for words. Gary! Gary Mehigan!! Oh! God!! I never missed a show. I watched only for him. He was too cute. Could I tell him that? Probably not! I did not know if I was standing on my head or feet anymore. What did he want from me?

“Thanks, mate!,” he continued. “I was hoping you would help me?”

“Of course. Please tell me how I can help you?”

“You see, I am making a show about Indian cuisine. Though I have all the regions covered, I am stuck with no input for great South Indian brahmin recipes. I heard that you are a great cook. Can you please come and teach me?”

“Me?” I was flabbergasted. “Are you sure?”

“Yes, indeed, mate.”

Just as I was about to say yes, my alarm rang………………………….
